So, here I am. Sitting on a plane, hovering precariously via the power of science and hope, over a place called the Charlie-Gibbs Fracture Zone. Sounds fantastic. How’d I get here? Why am I up here? What am I doing

I’ve murdered my data plan. No wifi on this plane. So, I guess life sucks. More in ~7 hours or so.
